I wish to offer my condolences to Ms. Joy and the Eyler family. 77 years is quite an accomplishment according to the Bible (Psalm 90:10) and I know Mr. Tom has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Hopefully scripture will give you comfort because our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18), is promising us he will do away with man's worst enemy, death. This is found for us at Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. John 17:3 God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day." Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago. Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it."
This is a wonderful promise made to us by our heavenly father and I pray it brings you comfort and hope. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18 Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family. I pray it will bring you comfort to please watch this faith strengthening video: "Can The Dead Really Live Again?" https://vimeo.com/232445509

We are so sorry to learn of Tom's passing. Other than an occasional bumping into him here or there, we had little contact since days in Eaton. But a year or two ago, we rekindled our friendship via Facebook. Our sympathy goes out to all of Tom's family.

Cat my heart is aching for your mom, you and your kids. I know how much you all loved your dad. I pray for love, peace and strength for you all to get through these difficult days ahead. Focus on the love you had for each other and your good memories which I am sure are many.

My deepest sympathies to Tom’s family and friends and especially to Joy. Tom and Joy were both such great mentors for me when I started on the rescue squad and I appreciated their help. May God wrap his loving arms around you and may the memories you shared be of comfort in the coming days. God Bless all!
