Esther L. Trost

Age 86, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born August 22, 1930, in Miami County, Ohio, to her parents Harvey & Treva (Minnich) Franke. On December 11, 1948, she married Carl William Trost in Sidney, and together they shared a life for over 60 years. Esther was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren for over 40 years and enjoyed spending time with family racing on the weekends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl and sister Ellen Allenbaugh.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving family children and their spouses Douglas & Kathy Trost of Pleasant Hill, Cinda & Philbert Westfall of Pleasant Hill, Bonna & David Ryder of Troy; grandchildren Matthew & Sara Westfall of Pleasant Hill, Dustin & Debbie Trost of Pleasant Hill, Danielle & Josh Bruns of New Bremen; step grandchildren Terry Brown, Stacy Inderrieden, Kelly Lairson, Mike Courtright; great grandchildren Jasa Westfall, Dylan and Dawson Trost; step great grandchildren Celine Nicodemus, Allie Bruns, Kati, Britni, and Brandi Courtright, Chelsea Waggoner, Kristin Holly, Dani Eyler; 8 step great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, January 19, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Nick Beam will officiate with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11-1 PM at the funeral home.
