Delores Dean Miller

Age 88, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at SpringMeade Health Center, Tipp City. She was born November 30, 1926, to her parents Glen & Mary (Shanks) Noll. She graduated from Newton High School class of 1944. On November 6, 1944, she married Russell Cleo Miller and together they raised a family and shared a life for over 67 years. She worked as a farmer’s wife alongside Russell where they milked cows and raised tobacco . She later retired from JC Penny after 23 years working in the men’s department in Troy. Delores was a loving mother and grandmother who was truly dedicated to her family. The family would like to thank the staff at SpringMeade Health Center for all the love and care they showed to Delores during her stay with them. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell Miller; daughter Betty Diann Wackler; son Larry Russell Miller; grandson Scotty Miller; brother Dale Noll. She will be missed and remembered by her daughters and sons-in-law Connie Kay & Nick Wackler of Covington, Dixie Lee & Dan Halderman of Arcanum; 10 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren; sister Marcia Deeter of Troy. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 11, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Gene Oburn will officiate with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hill Life Squad, Pleasant Hill Fire Department, or Hospice of Miami County.
