Wilma J. Blankenship

Age 91, of Troy, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Hospice of Miami County. She was born November 5, 1931, in Huntington, West Virginia, to her parents Sylvester & Audrey Parnell (Roach) Pittenger. Wilma attended Milton-Union High School and retired from Medalist Allen A. She enjoyed gardening, reading novels, woodworking, and crafts.  But mostly, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Blankenship; grandson Scotty Taylor; brothers Gordon Pittenger and John Pittenger; son-in-law Daryl Chavis. She will be missed and remembered by her children and their spouses Larry Blankenship of Dublin, Bob Blankenship of Houston, Joyce White of Covington, Brenda & Dan Arrington of Trotwood, Debby & Jeff McCormick of Anderson, South Carolina, Bill & Maureen Blankenship of Troy, Pam Chavis of Troy, Kandi & Tom Shipman of Piqua; 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Donna & Jim Bubeck of Troy.
