Age 76, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Heartland of Piqua. She was born September 18, 1935, in Davenport, Iowa, to her parents Charles A. & Hallie Jane (English) Raney. Vita was a member of the Jesus Christ Bible Church in Pleasant Hill. She served her community as a pastor's wife for many years and started the women's group WJC's (Workers for Jesus Christ). Vita was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl N. Lee, Sr. in 2007; son Jerry R. Lee; grandson Michael Lee; sisters Frances Huches, Susie Agnew, Ina Mae Rogers, and Thelma Ewoldt; brothers George Raney, Allen Raney, Arthur Raney. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Earl N. Lee, Jr. of Canton, GA, Terry & Vicki Lee of Lexington, KY; daughter and her partner Yvonne Wilmoth & Larry Ritchie of Covington; grandchildren Trina Cox, Alena Daigle, Justin Lee, Jessica Lee, Carrisa Wright, Amber Jennings, Amanda Wilmoth, Jordan Lee, Tara Lee; 8 great grandchildren; sisters Vita-B Gayman and Velma Francis. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 23, at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday at Jackson-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 1 S. Main St., Pleasant Hill. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
