Age 79, of Pleasant Hill, formerly of Tipp City, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011, at Upper Valley Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born May 23, 1931, in Tennessee, to her parents Laska & Liza (Clouse) Farris. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Hoyt Hutson; her children and their spouses Janice Thompson, Carolyn & Bob Darfus, David & Nicole Hutson; sister Sally Heatherly; brother Elmer Farris; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Rodger & Donald Hutson; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Ruth worked at Dolly Toy Co., Tipp City, and was a member of the New Horizons Church of God, Troy. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, making afghans for family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 25, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main St, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Joe Hill will officiate with interment following at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday at the funeral home.
