Robert “Bob” Lamme

Age 92, of Casstown, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at his home after a brief illness. He was born on December 30, 1928, in Casstown, Ohio, to his parents Roy Kenneth & Ruth May (Rogers) Lamme. Bob graduated from Lostcreek School class of 1946. He worked for his uncle Roy Rogers in the electrician business until he joined the Army in 1951. He was a US Army Korean Veteran and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #5436 and the AMVETS Post 88-Troy. Bob started working at Hobart Brothers in December 1952 and retired in December 1994. He became a Mason on May 24, 1950, and was a member of the Mt. Olivet Lodge 226 F.&A.M, Christiansburg.  He served on the Casstown Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years and the Lostcreek zoning board for several years. He enjoyed bowling on the Hobart Brothers bowling team and loved playing golf. He was an avid hunter, member of the Troy Fish & Game, and enjoyed boating and camping. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rebecca Lamme; his parents; great grandson Braxton Bowman; brother Murlon “Mudge” Lamme; sister Marcia Yantis. He will be missed and remembered by his children Susan Taylor of Casstown, Mike (Candy) Lamme of Tipp City; grandchildren Jason (Julie) Taylor of Tipp City, Jennie (Josh) Gearhardt of Casstown, Dacey (Chase) Lamme-McNall of Albion, Indiana, Jamie Bowman of Tennessee, Tonya Roberson of Tennessee; great grandchildren Jaclyn Taylor of Tipp City, Dylan Taylor of Tipp City, Ethan Taylor of Tipp City, Ashlyn Gearhardt of Casstown, Haley Gearhardt of Casstown, Brodie McNall of Albion, Indiana, Kaida McNall of Albion, Indiana, Hannah (Brock) McCoin, Jacob Roberson, Brailee Reece, Madison Bowman, Makayla Bowman, Makenzie Bowman all of Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Eugene Oburn will officiate with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with a Masonic service being held at 7:45PM. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Miami County or Miami County Veteran Museum, 2245 S. County Road 25-A, Troy, Ohio 45373.
