FEITSHANS, Robert E. Age 87, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Covington Care Center, Covington. He was born September 4, 1925, in Miami County, Ohio, to his parents Victor Hugo & Cora Odessa (Young) Feitshans. Bob retired from Fidelity Orthopedics, Dayton, and was a longtime member of the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ. He was a Nascar fan and enjoyed watching football and spending time with his dog Ariel. Following his retirement, he spent time volunteering at Dettmer Hospital in Troy for 17 years and played the q chord for the local nursing homes in Troy, Sidney, and the surrounding areas. The family would like to thank all the friends and neighbors for their support during Bob's illness. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of over 60 years Marcile A. (Yount); daughter and son-in-law Cindy & Joe Davis of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren Dustin & Debbie Trost of Pleasant Hill, Adam & Sarah Deaton of Lafayette, IN, Aron & Lynzee McFadden of Pleasant Hill, Brent & Sarah Davis of Pleasant Hill; great grandchildren Adyn and Zayne McFadden, Celine, Nicodemus, Dylan, and Dawson Trost, Emery Deaton, Macy, Landry, and Kolton Davis. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, September 30, at Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ, 10 W. Monument Street, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Craig Showalter will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ.
