Robert Lowell Border
Robert ‘Bob’ Lowell Border, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024,
at Springmeade Health Center in Tipp City. He was born on June 11, 1938, in Troy,
Ohio, to Lowell and Mildred (Coppock) Border. Bob married his high school sweetheart,
Lolita (Uhrig), and they recently celebrated their 64 th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife Lolita; daughters Shana (Ray) Boyle of Liberty Township, OH,
and Rochelle (Ryan) Rogers of Tipp City, OH; and grandchildren Michael, Cade
(Courtney Hollenbacher), and Austin Rogers. He is also survived by his sister Joan
(Allen) Moored of Maryland; sisters-in-law Marla Uhrig of Tipp City and Monica Uhrig of
South Carolina; niece Beth Moored-Hobson; and nephews Paul (Kim) Uhrig and
Branden Uhrig (Heather Cascardo).
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws William and Frances Uhrig;
brother-in-law Monte Uhrig; and niece Brenda (Uhrig) DiNenno.
Bob graduated from Newton High School and served in the U.S. Army, 2 nd Military
Intelligence Battalion, as an image interpreter. His career included positions at HRB
Singer, Mitre Corporation, over 20 years at Hobart Manufacturing, Design Technologies,
and he eventually retired from McCauley Corporation.
He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was golfing, working in the yard, or taking
walks around the neighborhood. He enjoyed visiting with friends and discussing various
projects with neighbors. Above all, he cherished moments with his family and took great
joy in cheering on his grandchildren in their sports activities. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, at  Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street,
Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park, Covington.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM Monday and from 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
