Ramona Ann Garvey

Age 89, of Troy, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, at Troy Rehabilitation and Health Center. She was born April 24, 1930, in Troy, Ohio, to her parents William & Sarah (Young) Hebb. Ramona graduated from Troy High School class of 1948. On August 8, 1948, she married Lewis M. Garvey and together they shared a life for over 68 years. She retired after 25 years from JCP as a sales associate and was a member of the Tatesville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis M. Garvey; great granddaughter Alexis; siblings James (Mary Jane) Hebb, Dorothy Hebb (James) Bowling, Herb Hebb, William Hebb, Ruby Hebb, Jack Hebb; in-laws Bill Garvey, Doris Blackston, Mary Jane & Glenn Dubb, Barbara Dill, Dick Garvey.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving children and their spouses Michael A. & Patricia Garvey of Kailua, Hawaii; Connie L. & Eldon Atkinson of Burnside, Kentucky, Sue A. & Thomas Hemmerle of Pleasant Hill; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; in-laws James & Rita Garvey of Columbus, Lowell Dill of Greenville, Carol Hebb of Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, December 28, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. The family will receive friends from 10:00-12:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Miami County.
