Ned E. Diers
Age 63, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, at his home. He was born December 19, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Rolland & Patricia (Ring) Diers. Ned graduated from Newton High School class of 1970 and continued to be a supporter of Newton Athletics throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid gardener and mushroom hunter. He will be missed and remembered by his loving family, wife Judith Diers; daughters and sons-in-law Dr. Robin Diers & Steven Bok of Ligonier, Indiana, Nicole & Kurt Moneysmith of Rossburg, Ohio; siblings and their spouses Carol & Jack Andrews of West Chester, Ohio, Tom & Kathy Sue Diers of Dover, Florida, Martha & Bryan Fisher of Sidney, Ohio, Patrick & Tina Diers of Silver Springs, Maryland, Jill Diers (Randy Baker) of Pleasant Hill, Jack & Eileen Diers of Antioch, Tennessee; nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Claudia Diers. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 16, at Brukner Nature Center, 5995 Horseshoe Bend Rd, Troy, Ohio 45373. Chaplain Ed Ellis will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brukner Nature Center or Hospice of Miami County.
