Mildred Louise Kight

Age 95, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Brookdale of Piqua. She was born September 3, 1926, in Miami County, Ohio, to her parents Clarence William & Carrie Augusta (Gunder) Hodges. Millie graduated from Troy High School class of 1944 and retired from the Beery School of Horsemanship after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ where she worked as the church secretary for over 20 years. She was a former member of the Pleasant Hill American Legion Auxiliary and the Pleasant Hill Fire Department Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert J. Kight; son James J. Kight; daughter-in-law Sandra Kight; sisters Doris Billing and Rosa Knife; brother Charles Hodges.

She will be missed and remembered by her grandchildren Byron & Kelly Kight of Batavia, Illinois, and Victoria Kight of Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.  

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, July 22, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at New Carlisle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ, 10 W.
