Merl Richard Loveland

Age 53, of Houston, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Everheart Hospice, Greenville. He was born August 24, 1970, in Troy, Ohio, to his parents Richard Loveland & Patricia Landis (McBride). Merl graduated from Piqua High School class of 1988 and attended Upper Valley JVS earning a welding certification. He worked for Cascade Corp for over 19 years. He was a US Army veteran and was a member of the VFW Post 6557 and VFW Post 4874.

Merl will be missed and remembered by all his family and friends including his loving daughter and son-in-law Jessica Loveland & Buddy Crawford of Houston; grandchildren Audrey “Junior” Loveland and Riley Crawford; father and step-mother Richard & Sharon Loveland of Huber Heights; mother and step-father Patricia & Dan Landis of Ludlow Falls; sisters and brothers-in-law Pam & Bob Trocano of Union City, Chelley & Howie Graham of St. Paris, Chris & Lisa Long of Tennessee; his loving companion Hannah Banana. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion Woody.

A memorial service will be held from 2:00 PM Sunday, July 21, at the Piqua VFW Post 4874, 8756 N. County Rd 25A, Piqua, with a gathering of family and friends following the service until 5:00 PM.
