MACY, L. Maxine Age 95, of Troy, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community. She was born August 30, 1915, in Pleasant Hill, to her parents John L. & Ida E. (Landis) Puckett. Maxine was a 1934 graduate of Newton Schools and retired from the Concord School District . She was an active member of the Pleasant Hill First Brethren Church, Friendship Club and Dettmer Auxillary, Troy. She was preceded in death by her husband Orville Macy in 1996; her parents; brothers Jack T. Puckett and Robert L. Puckett; sisters Virginia Puckett and Mary Mae Bowers. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Dennis & Linda Macy of Houston, TX. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 20, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main St, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Lynn Mercer will officiate with interment following at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Dorothy Love Retirement Community, 3003 Cisco Rd., Sidney, 45365, or First Brethren Church, 210 S. Church St. Pleasant Hill, 45359.
