Mary E. Keller

Age 100, of Troy, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at Brookdale of Troy. She was born March 27, 1921, in Piqua, Ohio, to her parents Boyd & Emma (Mohler) Patty. 

Mary graduated from Newton High School class 1939 and has resided in the Miami County area her entire life. Prior to her stay at Brookdale, Mary was a charter resident at SpringMeade Senior Living where she lived for over 25 years.  Mary worked as a homemaker on the family farm for 25 years and later retired from Stouder Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department after over 15 years of employment. She enjoyed traveling- especially Hawaii and numerous European countries.  She liked to play euchre, wear red clothes, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia,  and dining at Marion’s Pizza and Red Lobster.  She was known affectionally by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as Grandma TicTac. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale of Troy and Promedica Hospice for the compassionate care they gave to Mary during her stay with them. They always treated her like a member of their own family. 

She was preceded in death by daughter Maj. Nancy J. Murphy, USAF, and son Ronald L. Keller.

She will be missed and remembered by her daughter Karen S.  Gratz; grandchildren Mike (Marsha) Keller, Kevin (Lee) Keller, Kris (Robert) Baughman, Shelley Case, Angela Mitchell, Geoffrey (Dawn) Gratz; 12 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Darlene Keller. 

Private family services will be held. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Troy United Methodist Church, 110 W. Franklin Street, Troy 45373. Memories may be shared online at www.jackson-sarver.com
