Marcia Deeter

Age 88 of Covington, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at SpringMeade Health Center. She was born December 1, 1934, in in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, to her parents Glen & Mary (Shanks) Noll. Marcia graduated from Newton High School class of 1952, On September 2, 1953, she married Dean L. Deeter and together they shared a life of over 57 years until his passing in 2010. Marcia retired from Fifth Third Bank in 1996 after 28 years of service. She was a member of the of Laura Lion’s Club and enjoyed going to grandkids events. She volunteered at Upper Valley Medical Center and at St. Pat’s Kitchen. She served as a 4H advisor for the Newton Blue Ribbons and was an avid gardener. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren where she served as choir director for the youth and adult choirs. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dean Deeter; son Christopher Deeter; brother Dale Noll,; sister Delores “Dean” Miller; granddaughter Cassandra Deeter; great grandson Jayte L. Byers. 

She will be missed and remembered by her daughters and their spouses Shawn & Philip Sarver of Flushing, Michigan; Melissa “Missy” Deeter of Pleasant Hill, Kimberly & Tony Torres of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren Kami Millhouse, Alainna Paulette, Jenelle Clark, Ashley Byers, Brittany Allen, Kristina Brewer, Sydney Deeter, Taylor Deeter; great grandchildren Brady McClish, Breanna McClish, Chloe McClish, Addilynn Byers, Logan Marsh, Ethan Avey, Grant Avey, Anson Ayers, Braxton Brewer, Sawer Hensley, Nyla Taylor, Lennox Taylor, Amari Taylor; sister-in-law Louise Noll.

A memorial service will be held 6:30 PM Friday, November 3, 2023, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 PM Friday at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or the American Cancer Society. Memories may be shared with the family online at www.jackson-sarver.com
