Lowell H Jess

Age 90, formerly of Pleasant Hill, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at Providence Nursing Center in Sandusky.  He was born October 15, 1932, in Tipp City, Ohio, to his parents late Frank & Ersta (Shipley) Jess. Lowell attended Houston High School and retired from Ranger Division as a truck driver. On June 11, 1950, he married his childhood sweetheart, Carolyn Rosell, in Lockington, Ohio, and together they shared a life for over 66 years. He loved boating, traveling and reading. He will be missed and remembered by his loving children and their spouses Deetra & Bob Bissett, Ersta & Mark Starkey, Leesa & Bob Westfall; grandchildren Dorie duPlessis , Jodi McNeil, Rob & Rachael Bissett, Lyndsay & Clinton House, Tony & Amber Bissett, Abby Starkey, Molly & Matt Bowman, Heather & Ryan Hickerson, Amy & Mike Henson; great grandchildren Josh, Justin, Heather, Cory, Amanda, Wyatt, Morgan, Ashley, AJ, Hannah, Naomi, Bobby , Owen, Brooks, Hallie; great great grandson Kyler;  sisters and brother-in-law Mary Ellen Wilson, Tim & Carol Feree; brother Mike Jess. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn; great grandson Lester Jake; siblings George Jess, Norris Jess, Betty Patty, Matilda Jones, Warren Jess, John Jess, Wilbur Jess, Vera Lou Maggart.  Funeral services will be held  12:00 PM Tuesday, July 25, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home,  1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Bob Westfall will officiate with interment following at Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
