Larry Edgar Lavey
Age 83, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born May 19, 1937, in Bradford, Ohio, to his parents John & Zelma (Miller) Lavey. 
He graduated from Bradford High School class of 1955. On June 23, 1956, he married Joy Elaine Harmon, and together they shared a life until her passing in 2001. Larry was a US Army veteran and retired from Hobart Corp as a machine shop plant superintendent.He was preceded in death by his loving wife; son Larry Michael Lavey; grandchildren Aeriel Lavey and Edward Kauffman; great granddaughter Jordan Eifert; siblings Dean Lavey, Loretta Lavey. He will be missed and remembered by his daughters Lori Lynn Smith of Bradford and  Beverly Elaine & Hal Kauffman of Houston; grandchildren Michael & Erica Smith, Carmen & Jeffery Gephart, Larry & Meredith Lavey; great grandchildren Cash Gephart, Carter Smith, Jax Gephart; step grandchildren Jarrod & Angie Kauffman, Brieen & Jerry Eifert; daughter-in-law Pamela Lavey of Piqua; special granddaughter Lauren Kiwacka.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, October 29, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Oakes-Beitman Memoral Library.
