Joseph Herman Marchal

Age 66, of Pleasant Hill, passed away  September 24, 2021, at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born September 21, 1955, in Troy, Ohio, to his parents Herman Leroy & Betty Jean (Harlett) Marchal. He graduated from Newton High School class of 1973 and earned his associate’s degree from Edison State Community College. He retired as a bus driver for Milton-Union School after over 20 years of service and was a longtime member of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church.  Joe was a member of the Pleasant Hill Fire Department for over 43 years and served as Fire Chief for 10 years. He was active with the Central Western Fireman’s Association and was a member of the Knights of St. John, Commandery 194. Joe will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Sandra Elaine (Taylor) Marchal; children and their children Angela & Brandon Locker of Austin, Texas, Adam & Holly Marchal of Pleasant Hill, Amanda & Kegan Magnuson of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren Cody Durst, Landon, Braxton, Easton Marchal, Xandreah, Gabriel Locker; his mother; siblings and their spouses John & Barb Marchal of Pleasant Hill, Joyce & Chris Aumiller of Bowling Green, Julie & Mark Everett of Fletcher, Jim & Jenny Marchal of Sherwood, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, September 30, at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 6925 US-36, Covington, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S.
