John A. Weaver, Jr.

Age 62, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born November 27, 1955, in Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania, to his parents John A. Weaver, Sr. & Helen J. (Brantner) Fitzwater. John graduated from Northern Bedford High School class of 1973, and from Messiah College Grantham, Pennsylvania in 1977 with BA in Math Education. For the past 27 years, John has served as a pastor with the Brethren in Christ Church. Most recently, he has been head pastor at the Pleasant Hill Brethren in Christ Church.

He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Margaret A. (Helmuth) Weaver; daughters Katrina (Charles) Roush of Bloomington, Indiana, Samantha Weaver of Troy; mother Helen Fitzwater. He was preceded in death by his daughters Marianne Weaver and Dulcie Weaver; father and stepmother John & Vernal Weaver; stepfather Paul Fitzwater; grandparents Ellis & Frances Brantner.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 26, at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 300 E. Monument, Pleasant Hill, Ohio. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Monday, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill.
