Josef E. Beacom

Age 70, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at his home. He was born March 31, 1953, in Germany. At the age of two, he was adopted by Vaun E. & Maryellen S. Beacom and brought to the United States. Joe graduated from Graham High School class of 1972 and, following high school, he served in the United States Navy for four years. Following his military service, he started his own farm equipment lighting company and for the last 27 years he worked at Meijer Distribution. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, spending time with his dog Daisy, and loved tinkering in his garage. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of 30 years Linda L. (Laughman) Beacom; daughters Jennifer E. Beacom & fiancé Blake Thibodaux of Buckeye, Arizona, and Lorrie J. & Troy Arnett of Pleasant Hill; siblings Eric Beacom of Cape Coral Florida, Margaret & Terry Hiles of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren Hailee Arnett and Madilyn Arnett; his dog Daisy. He was preceded in death by his adopted parents and his siblings Brenda Beacom, Vaun Beacom, Maryellen Beacom.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 5, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Old Union Cemetery, Ludlow Falls. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
