Age 58, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital. Jeff was born September 11, 1964, in Troy, Ohio, to his parents Talmage Keith & Patsy Kay (Barton) Whiting. He graduated from Newton High School class of 1983 and worked as a truck driver for Miami Valley Steel. Jeff loved going on cruises in February, visiting his children and grandchildren as much as possible, and enjoyed his nightly walks with his loyal companion, Mazie.
He will be missed and remembered by his mother Patsy Whiting of Pleasant Hill; his loving wife Linda Sue Whiting; children and their spouses Ashley Whiting and fiancé Alan Moss of Argyle, Texas, Zachary & Kayleigh Whiting of Montezuma, Josh & Tieu Brown of Hampton, Virginia, Ashley & Austin Cadle of Dallas, Texas, Travis Brown of Covington; grandchildren Malcom Whiting, Beckett Cadle, Skylar Whiting; step grandchildren Ryleigh Gurganus and Robert Linsenbach, Jr.; siblings Tammy Bulle & Keith Snapp of Pleasant Hill, Vickie Whiting of Pleasant Hill; one niece and nephew; numerous extended family.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital and Hope’s Harbor, family hospitality homes, for the loving care they showed to Jeff and Linda during their time with them.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 1, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hope’s Harbor, , www.hopesharborfw.org.
