Gail Hershey Bulach

Age 62, of Troy, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Hospice of Miami County. She was born July 5, 1960, in Troy, Ohio, to her parents Dale LeRoy & Marian (Hilsher) Hershey. Gail graduated from Newton High School class of 1978 and earned her bachelor’s degree from Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania.

Gail worked as an elementary school teacher for Newton Schools for two years and retired from Troy City Schools after 34 years of employment. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma teacher’s sorority, Astrabuds Garden Club, and loved to travel. She was an active member of the Pleasant Hill Brethren in Christ Church where she taught Sunday school, served as a deacon, and served as the director of music. She enjoyed playing the flute and was a member of the Flutes, Etc quartet. She loved to read and was a member of her book club for over 25 years and volunteered reading to the residents of Brookdale. She also volunteered at the St. Patrick’s Soup Kitchen. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband of 23 years James Christopher Bulach; children and their spouses Jacob & Carly Bulach of Camden, Bradley & Wendy Noll of Columbus, Samantha & Colton Torrey of Eaton, Amy & Andrew Bethel of Vandalia; grandchildren Gavin, Gordon, George, Sutton, Saylor, Maxwell; sister and brother-in-law Jane & Don Delcamp of Troy. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 30, at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 300 E. Monument Street, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the church.
