Fern Marie Adams (Wackler)

Age 87, of Pleasant Hill, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Covington Care Center. She was born November 5, 1928, in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, to her parents Lawrence & Mabel (Jackson) Wackler. Fern graduated from Newton High School class of 1947 where she was on the first homecoming court, was a cheerleader, and played in the band. On April 8, 1947, she married Marion R. Adams and together they shared a life and raised a family for over 68 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Miami County area, and enjoyed playing euchre with family and friends. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Marion R. Adams; children and their spouses, Paul & Lynda Adams of Piqua, Kenneth& Anna Adams of Covington, Marvin & Sally Adams of Piqua, Ann & Linc Branson of Covington, William & Deanise Adams of Covington, Joseph& Julie Adams of Piqua; 28 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sisters Ruby Griesheimer of Valpariso, Florida, Nancy Willis of Pleasant Hill. She was preceded in death by her sibling Raymond Wackler, Frances Hoke, Charles Wackler, Ruth Goings, Thelma Waymire, Lydia Long, Mary Brumbaugh, Martha Yingst, Donald Wackler, her twin sister Freda Farmer, Harold Wackler; grandson William J. Robertson; 2 great grandsons. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 23, Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Michael Yingst and Lynda Adams will officiate with interment following at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
