Eugene Rotterman

Age 91, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018. He was born September 23, 1926, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Fred & Frances (Michel) Rotterman.  Gene graduated from Northridge High School. On July 17, 1955, he married Marilyn M. Hess and together they shared a life for 63 years. He was a US Army Veteran serving during WWII and retired from Peerless Storage in Dayton. He was an avid woodworker, gardener and loved to play cards. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Marilyn; children Lee Ann Oglesbee of Pleasant Hill, Deneise Cain (Dennis) of Covington; grandchildren Denise Wenrick, Glen Nickles, Matt Cain; great grandchildren Grace, Glen, and Mykaela. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Phyllis Azerado; son-in-law William Oglesbee. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 25, at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 300 E. Monument, Pleasant Hill. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hill History Center or the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren.
