Emma J. Shuman

Age 72, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016, at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. She was born February 28 1944, in Covington, Ohio, to her parents Ellsworth & Evelyn (Brandenburg) Taylor. Emma graduated from Newton High School class of 1963. On April 24, 1965, she married Lawrence F. Shuman in Covington, Ohio, and together they shared a life for over 51 years.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Lawrence Shuman; children and their spouses David & Elizabeth Shuman of Pleasant Hill,  Julie & Bill Carpenter of Sidney,; grandchildren Tyler Shuman of Pleasant Hill, Caitlin Shuman of Pleasant Hill,  Natalie & Jackson Vi of West Milton ; numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, October 6, Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Chaplain Ed Ellis will officiate with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM Thursday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
