KAUFFMAN, Ellen Lee Age 84, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013, at Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 5, 1928, in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, to her parents Russell & Hazel (Reed) Cecil. Ellen graduated from Newton High School Class of 1946. In March 1947, she married Charles "Pat" Kauffman in Pleasant Hill and together they shared a life for 65 years. She was a longtime member of the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ and volunteered as an election poll worker for over 25 years. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Charles "Pat" Kauffman; sons and daughters-in-law Michael & Wanda Kauffman of Denison, TX, Hal & Beverly Kauffman of Houston; daughter Ann Kauffman of Sidney; grandchildren Ed Kauffman of Piqua, Chad & Kari Kauffman of Austin, TX, Jarrod & Angela Kauffman of Pleasant Hill, Lena Kauffman-Watkins of Kansas; great grandchildren Taylor & Kyle Kauffman, Emily & Catherine Kauffman, Chase & Gage Watkins. She was preceded in death by her siblings Nelson Cecil, Virginia Seabold, Boyd Cecil. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 29, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hill Fire and Rescue or the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ.
