Donald Lee Sleppy

Age 74, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020, Stillwater Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born December 30, 1945, in Piqua, Ohio, to his parents Lloyd S. and Kathryn F. (Laughman) Sleppy. Donald graduated from Newton High School and retired from General Motors/Delco- Moraine Plant. He was a US Air Force veteran who served his country as a Sergeant in the Vietnam War and was very active in many community and veteran organizations. He was a past commander of the Piqua VFW Post 4874, was involved with the honor motorcycle escort for veterans, and played Santa Claus for local organizations. He enjoyed the outdoors where he loved fishing, hunting and was a licensed trapper for the State of Ohio. He will be missed and remembered by his children Cheryl, Donald, and Michael; sister Bonnie Smith; nephew Douglas & Theresa Smith. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited, Hospice of Miami County, or Wounded Warriors. Online memories may be left for the family atwww.jackson-sarver.com
