Diana D. Bashore

Age 74, of Troy, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born May 31, 1948, in Greenville, Ohio, to her parents Earl Sylvester & Freeda Delores (Smith) Robbins. Diana graduated from Covington High School class of 1966. On December 18, 1966, she married Harry Bashore in Greenville, Ohio, and together they shared a life for over 56 years. She began working as a secretary for the United States military and later worked as an office manager for Dr. Nordquist in Troy and Dr. Jones at Vandalia Family Medicine. She was an active member of the Church of God where she served as a youth leader, Sunday school teacher, and worship leader throughout the years. She volunteered at the OSHIIP (Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program) for over six years. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Harry Bashore; children and their spouses Anita Bashore of Troy, Brian & Jennifer Bashore of Tipp City, Amber & Michael Melvin of Mansfield, Alyssia & Kevin Serey of Ludlow Falls; grandchildren Anna (Ricky) Burkhead, Shelby Meadows, Blake Bashore, Brooke Bashore, Gabriel Melvin, Mackenzie Melvin, Alexander Melvin, Warren Serey, Vivianne Serey; great grandchildren Callie Burkhead and Amiya Burkhead;  siblings and their spouses Virlen & Carol Ann Robbins of Florida, Dennis & Doris Robbins of Georgia, Gerald & Lynn Robbins of Georgia, Eldon & Nancy Robbins of Troy, sister-in-law Beverly Robbins of Pleasant Hill; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry Robbins. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 17, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
