Deborah Polson

Age 71, of Minster, formerly of Pleasant Hill,  passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Hospice of Miami County. She was born March 23, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, to her parents William & Ruth (Hankins) Santner. Deb graduated from Julienne High School class of 1971.  She worked as a homemaker for over 30 years until she continued her formal education. She earned her associate’s degree from Edison and soon earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. Deb enjoyed cooking, camping, traveling, and caring for her dogs. But mostly, she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband of over 45 years Richard Polson, Sr.; children and their spouses Richard, Jr. & Christa Polson of West Milton, Holly & Rob Karban of Englewood, Amanda & Joe Schutz of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren Taylor, RJay, Hailey, Parker, Peyton, Sophia, Addison, Bailey, and Ethan; siblings Mike & fiancé Julie of Florida, Geoff & Krystal of Florida, Vickie & Barb Santner of South Carolina. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Matthew Polson; sister Sue Dietrick.

A celebration of the life will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 8, at the Englewood American Legion, 200 W. National Road, Englewood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter, 1110 N. County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373.
