Darrell Ray Fessler

Age 85, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Brookdale of Troy. He was born February 13, 1938, in Miami County, Ohio, to his parents Raymond & Cuba (Besecker) Fessler. Darrell graduated from Newton High School and retired from Inland GM after 30 years of employment. He was a railway enthusiast who enjoyed watching and collecting trains. He spent much of his time making improvements on his home and customizing his cars. He also enjoyed attending county fairs and traveling with his special friend. He was a loving uncle who enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Darrell will be missed and remembered by his sisters Beverly Robbins of Pleasant Hill and Sherry Maggart of Pleasant Hill; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Bill Fessler; special friend Phyllis Vaughn; brothers-in-law Larry Robbins and Gary Maggart; sister-in-law Nancy Fessler. Private family services will be held with interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill History Center.
