Charles “Larry” Jackson
Age 82 ,of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born January 20, 1938, in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, to his parents Charles Jackson & Ethel (Garwood) Bauman.
Larry worked as a realtor for Century 21 before his retirement. He loved the outdoors, fishing, playing cards, and looked forward to the county fairs to watch harness racing. He enjoyed sitting on his deck feeding the squirrels and birds and enjoyed his Silver Sneaker friends. He was a member of the Warren Lodge #24 F.A.&M for 41 years, a member of the Covington Eagles, and loved Ohio State football.
Larry will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of 20 years Sue Jackson; children Brent Jackson of Piqua, Julie Jackson of St. Petersburg, Florida; step children Scott & Anita Robinson of Denver, Colorado, Jennifer & John Rector of Lewisburg, Terry & Megan Robinson of Pleasant Hill ; grandchildren McKenzie, Delaney, Logan, Ashley, Alexis, Crile, Trent, Jersey; brothers, proudly calling themselves “The Brothers Fore” who shared many weekend golf outings and laughter, Marv & Margaret Jackson of Lebanon, Indiana, Bob & Donna Jackson of Troy, Max & Anita Jackson of Florida; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry didn’t know a stranger even if he couldn’t remember their name. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Upper Valley Medical Center for the care they showed to Larry during his stay with them. Services will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, May 22, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Online memories may be left for the family at www.jackson-sarver.com
