STUDEBAKER, Ora “Butch”

Age 66, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016, at Life Care Hospital, Miamisburg. He was born October 21, 1949, in Troy, Ohio, to his parents Cornelius Lawrence & Goldie Alma (Woods) Studebaker. Butch graduated from Newton High School class of 1969. On March 27, 1971, he married Terri Lynn Ashmore and together they raised a family and shared a life for over 44 years. He retired from Hartzell Propeller in 2014 after 45 years of service. He was a US Navy veteran and was a member of the Covington VFW Post 4235, AMVETS Post 66, and the Eagles FOE 3998 Covington Lodge.   Butch enjoyed coaching summer league baseball for Pleasant Hill and Troy, and enjoyed bowling in a travelling tri-county bowling league in Miami and Montgomery counties. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Terri Lynn Studebaker; sons William “Rick” & Mandi Studebaker of Huber Heights, Christopher Studebaker of Pleasant Hill; grandson Chase Studebaker; siblings Larry Studebaker of Piqua, Darlene Moak of Mississippi, Wally Studebaker of Covington, Roger Studebaker of Piqua; in-laws Charles & Pam Petitjean of Versailles, Ernest & April Laycox of Brookville, Philip & Jeanne Ashmore of Montezuma, Elmer & Diane Ashmore of Bradford; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, January 7, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
