SCHILLING, A. Lucile, Age 88, of Covington, passed away Sunday, October 24, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster. Lucile was born November 26, 1921, in Piqua to her parents John and Nelle (Coppock) Purdy, who preceded her in death. She was a 1939 graduate of Piqua High School and graduated from Miami-Jacobs Business College in Dayton. Lucile married Dane E. Schilling on April 21, 1945, in Piqua, and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2004. Lucile will be missed and remembered by her children Dana Schilling of Covington, Deborah Schilling and Donald MacEachern of Massachusetts, Mark & Anita Schilling of Covington , John Schilling of Troy, Jay Schilling of Covington, James & Rebecca Schilling of Troy; grandchildren Gerald & Gina Rosengarten, Lori Anderson, Krista Conley, Jenna Conley, Nathaniel Schilling, Lee Schilling, Jessica Gutierrez, Travis Thompson; great-grandchildren Kristin Felton, Daniel Mead, Haley Rosengarten, Holly Rosengarten, Drew Rosengarten, Lynda Gutierrez, Lia Schilling, Sophia Conley, Faith Thompson, Levi Thompson. Lucile was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Schilling in 2007; sisters Prudence Kerns, Janet Fisher, Constance Barton; 5 brothers, Thomas, Joseph, Robert, William, John Purdy. Lucile was a member and attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Covington. She was an active member of the Piqua Card Club and Covington Card Club and thoroughly enjoyed her time playing cards. Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 30, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Interment at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
