Imogene B. McBride
Age 92, of Pleasant Hill, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 7, 2016, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born May 31, 1924, to her parents Forest Alva & Nancy Jane (Landis) Robbins. Imogene graduated from Newton High School class of 1942. On August 7, 1948, she married James B. McBride and together they raised their family and shared a life for over 45 years. Among being a homemaker and mother to her four children, Imogene worked as a payroll clerk at Hobart Corp. and M&R Drugs in Troy. She had a love for cooking and later in life worked at the Laura Inn and Joyland restaurants. She also enjoyed gardening and canning and was a founding member of the Calvary Bible Church, Arcanum. She was a loving mother and grandmother who held a special place in her heart for all children.
Imogene will be missed and remembered by her loving children and their spouses Tom & Jean McBride of Centerville, Jane & Mike Trout of Laura, Dan & Laurie McBride of Ft. Wayne, Pat & Tiffany McBride of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren Erin, Ben, Shannon, Jim, Sally, Christopher, Brady, Tatum; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank niece Carol Jay for the special care she showed to Imogene. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James B. McBride in 1993; grandchildren Shawn and Cody; great granddaughter Parker; siblings Beatrice Lavy, Elnora Kinnison, Leona Sleppy-Jackson, and Jim Robbins. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, December 12, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Pastor Bill Cornett will officiate with interment at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
