Floyd “Pete” L. Kline

Age 96, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016, at his home. He was born July 24, 1920, in Germantown, Ohio, to his parents Walter & Grace (Clymer) Kline. Pete graduated from Covington High School class of 1939. On August 18, 1943, he married Betty Walker and together they shared a life for over 73 years until her passing this past September. He was part owner and operator of Kline Lime Co. in Covington, Ohio, and later worked at Jackson Funeral Homes in Pleasant Hill. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII where he earned at Purple Heart, and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Kiwanis and DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Pete was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Kline; brother Walter Kline, Jr.; sisters Doris McDowell, Lillian Hull, Kathryn Tyler, Norma Saffreed. He will be missed and remembered by his children and their spouses Mike & Peg Kline of Englewood, Judy & Tom Love of Medway, Steve & Diane Kline of Toledo; grandchildren Gerry Kline, Dennis Kline, Chris Love, Todd Love, Kevin Wackler; great grandchildren Gabby Kline, Tyler Kline, Logan Kline, Ben Love, Riley Love, Ramsey Love; sisters Joy Burton of Boca Raton, FL, Janice Skolnick of San Francisco. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 17, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
