Betty J. Marchal

Age 93, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. She was born March 13, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio, to her parents Rudy & Agnes (Hart) Harlett. Betty graduated from  Julienne High School class of 1949 was a member of the Transfiguration Catholic Church. On May 26, 1951, she married Herman L. Marchal in Dayton, Ohio. Following high school, she worked at BF Goodrich until she and Herman started their family in Pleasant Hill. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and making rosaries.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Marchal; son Joe Marchal; her parents; brother Jim Harlett; sister MaryAnn Reeder.

She will be missed and remembered by her children and their spouses John & Barbara Marchal of Pleasant Hill, Joyce & Chris Aumiller of Bowling Green, Julie & Mark Everett of Fletcher, Jim & Jenny Marchal of Sherwood, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Sandy Marchal of Pleasant Hill ; Angela Locker, Adam & Holly Marchal, Amanda & Kegan Magnuson, Anne & Joshua Case, Joshua & Carmen Marchal,  Jessica & John Kepler, Andrew Marchal, Allison & Brian Ahrns, Kristen & Tim Ehret, Timothy Aumiller, Justin & Dulcinea Everett, Amy & Austin Justice, Daniel Everett & fiancé Sierra, Heather & Philip Wood, Bailey Marchal; 19 great grandchildren; brother Bob Harlett of Dayton; former sister-in-law Greta Harlett. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Monday, April 29, at the Transfiguration Catholic Church, 972 S. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, Ohio. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. Memories may be shared with the family at www.jackson-sarver.com
