Leta F. Gnodle, 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida, and formerly of Pleasant Hill, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017, in Florida. She was born September 26, 1932, in Covington, to the late Emerson Joel and Luedell Pearl (Powell) Harman. She married Charles Russell Gnodle on January 27, 1951; he preceded her in death on May 15, 2004.
Leta will be missed and remembered by her children, Gloria Whalen of Pleasant Hill, Teresa (Jeff) Greive of North Fort Myers, Fla., and John (Shirley) Gnodle of Moncks Corner, S.C., two grandsons, Jeremy (Michelle) Whalen and Jeffrey (Cindy) Greive Jr.; ten great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Gibboney, Ruth Jackson, and Joy Lavey; and a grandson, Tracy Whalen.
She was a 1951 graduate of Newton High School and was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Troy Church of the Brethren and the Eagles Auxiliary of Troy.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Jackson-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 1 S. Main St., Pleasant Hill, with Pastor Jon Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
