Age 89, of Pleasant Hill, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 5:30 pm at his home with his family present. Ray was born April 7, 1926, to Raymond and Gladys (Hoffmaster) Weaver in Lawton, Michigan. He married Georgiana Abbott on August 14, 1948. Ray graduated from University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in engineering. He went to work for B F Goodrich in Troy, Ohio. Ray served on the Newton School Board, was a township trustee, a church deacon, and worked for Jackson Funeral Home. He loved to golf and build and fly model airplanes. He was a member of WACO Historical Society, a volunteer of the Pleasant Hill Boy Scouts, and a member of the Pleasant Hill Kiwanis. He was an Eagle Scout and was honorably discharged from the Air Force Reserve. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Georgiana Abbott Weaver; parents Raymond & Gladys Weaver as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law Wayne & Olive Abbott. He is survived by his three children James & Meggan Weaver, Patricia & Mark Passwaters, Barbara Weaver; grandchildren and their spouses Ray & Kim Weaver, Jeff & Mindy Weaver; great grandchildren Troy, Justin, Eliana. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley or Stillwater Community Church, Covington. Online memories may be left for the family at www.jackson-sarver.com
