Age 93, of Greenville, formerly of Laura, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Brethren’s Retirement Community. She was born March 3, 1923, in Darke County, Ohio, to her parents Elmer & Ruth (Miller) Beasley. She was preceded in death by her first husband Lloyd Spitler and her second husband Kenneth Herkins; son Marvin Spitler; 1 granddaughter; 1 great great grandchild; brothers Leonard, Lester, Kenneth Beasley; sisters Marie Flory, Evelyn Curtner. She will be missed and remembered by her daughters and sons-in-law Louise & Jon Pickering of Troy, Juva Jean & Richard Peirce of Laura, Julia & Brian “Jack” Gilbert of Union, Ellen & Gerald Rue of Laura; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, 25 great great grandchildren; sister Helen Anthony of Georgia. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 23, at the Potsdam Church of the Brethren, 22 E. Cross Street, Potsdam, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Friday at the church. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Potsdam Church of the Brethren.
